Today at work some of the demolition/breakdown team came over to our store for a battery for one of the Bobcats. I asked what was on the schedule for the park. They have started as of today to remove all the loose stuff around headspin. Some of the safety scaffoling pieces left over from Superman and Headspin. They said it was all scrap. My routes took me back and forth around the park all day so I got to see alot. They had to remove alot of the old pieces and parts from the storage area on depot road to make room for all of the auction stuff coming down to be stored or picked up. I would say they have 90% of that task done. From what the guy was saying they are starting around headspin and working back from there. Removing and tearing down everything around "The Big Dipper". He said he was not 100% sure though because plans keep changing. The weather held up the original plans of removing and doing demolition of everything around the park except for the wooden coasters. He said if the original plan would have been followed through the whole park would have already been leveled. So I wonder if the weather was just a excuse for all the publicity this site and others have given the park? I don't know if I will see him again but I will keep you guys posted on what new things happen.
But as Of today the demolition crew has stared to work.
